- September is ideal: an average of 23°C with highs around 26°C, the sea still at 24°C, and fewer crowds and lower prices than August. May, June and October are also good choices.
- July and August average 26°C with highs around 29°C and strong sun. It is manageable near the sea, but expect crowds and peak prices. Best for beach lovers.
- Yes. The sea averages 22°C in October, still warm enough for most swimmers. By November it drops to about 19°C.
- Strong north winds blow in July and August, especially in the northern Cyclades. Great for sailing and windsurfing, less ideal for beach days on exposed coasts. Southern islands are usually calmer.
- The general climate is similar, but there are microclimates. Northern islands tend to be slightly cooler and windier, while southern islands are usually warmer and drier.
