Common questions about Cyclades travel costs

  • In high season (June or September) this calculator estimates about €114 per person per day on a budget, €254 mid-range and €615 for luxury, before ferries. Santorini and Mykonos usually cost more than Naxos or Paros.
  • Naxos, Syros, Andros and Kythnos usually offer the best value, with lower prices than Santorini or Mykonos for similar accommodation and dining.
  • Outside July and August. This calculator prices accommodation at 0.7x the base rate in low season (November to April) and 0.9x in shoulder season (May and October), against 1.5x in peak season (July and August). Shoulder season also brings near-summer weather with fewer crowds.
  • Stay in smaller villages, eat at local tavernas, use ferries rather than flights, enjoy the free beaches, book accommodation early and consider lesser-known islands such as Kimolos or Folegandros.
