Getting around · Island buses

Cyclades bus timetables.

Island bus times from the operators’ own publications, with the dates they are valid for and where each one comes from. Where we have not verified a timetable, we say so rather than guess.

Which Cyclades islands have a bus timetable?

We have published verified bus timetables for 3 of the 24 Cyclades islands: Paros (KTEL Paros, 11 Sept – 2 Oct 2026); Sifnos (the Municipality of Sifnos, 21–27 Sept 2026); Amorgos (Amorgos Bus Company, 21 Sept – 11 Oct 2026). Every other island's page shows its official source and what is holding it up. A missing timetable does not mean there is no bus.

How these timetables are checked

Each island page shows one operator or municipal publication, with the dates it prints. We fetch the source on a schedule, keep a private copy as evidence, and a person reviews every new layout, image timetable, route change and date conflict before anything goes live.

When a printed period ends, the page stops showing “next bus” times, even if the source has not been checked again. Stops without a printed time are shown as untimed, never estimated. Discover Cyclades does not run buses and has no live bus positions.

FAQ

Cyclades buses: common questions.

Which Cyclades islands have buses?
We have published verified timetables for: Paros (KTEL Paros, 11 Sept – 2 Oct 2026); Sifnos (the Municipality of Sifnos, 21–27 Sept 2026); Amorgos (Amorgos Bus Company, 21 Sept – 11 Oct 2026). Each other island's page shows its official source and what is holding it up (no current timetable is established yet for Anafi, Iraklia, Koufonisia, Kythnos, Schinoussa, Sikinos and others). A missing timetable does not mean there is no bus.
Where do these bus times come from?
From the operators' own publications — KTEL companies, municipalities and private bus operators. Every island page names the source, the dates the timetable covers and when it was last checked.
What happens when a timetable expires?
The page keeps it as a labelled archive and stops giving "next bus" times until the operator publishes the next one and we have checked it.
Can I track Cyclades buses live?
No. These are scheduled times; there is no live bus tracking, delay information or seat availability.
