The "Kimolistes" Summer

A unique feature of Kimolos is the "Kimolistes" volunteer group, which organizes open-air cinema screenings in the medieval castle (Kastro) and operates open libraries on the beaches during the summer months. Visiting in June or July allows you to participate in these community events.

Shelter from the Wind

Beaches like Prassa (with its white chalk sand) and Bonatsa are generally well-sheltered, making Kimolos a safer bet than Milos during windy August days. However, the accommodation capacity is very low, so early booking is essential.
