- Six: Santorini (JTR), Mykonos (JMK), Paros (PAS), Naxos (JNX), Milos (MLO) and Syros (JSY). Santorini and Mykonos have seasonal direct flights from European cities, Paros now has a 1,800 m runway for A320 and B737 jets, and Naxos, Milos and Syros are served from Athens.
- Fly into one island, hop between islands by ferry, then fly home from a different island. You skip the ferry back to Athens, which saves 5 to 8 hours on a Santorini to Mykonos trip.
- In our route data the lowest average one-way fares from Athens fall between November and March (about €50 to €60), and the highest in July and August (about €110 to €145). May, June, September and October sit in between.
- No. Connect through Athens (ATH) or a European hub. From Athens, flights to the island airports take 35 to 45 minutes.
- A €41M upgrade added a 12,500 sqm terminal and extended the runway from 710 m to 1,800 m, so A320 and B737 class jets can land. European charter routes are expected from June to September.

- Aegean Airlines, Olympic Air and SKY express fly from Athens. In season, easyJet, British Airways, Jet2, Air France, Transavia, Lufthansa, Eurowings, ITA Airways, Volotea, KLM and Emirates (Mykonos) add direct flights to Santorini and Mykonos.
- Aegean and Olympic Air allow 23 kg checked plus 8 kg cabin; SKY express 23 kg plus 6 kg. Low-cost carriers vary by fare. Naxos, Milos and Syros are served by turboprops with small overhead bins, so soft bags travel best.
- Generally no: there are no scheduled commercial flights between Cyclades islands. Private charters (for example Cycladic Air) aside, island-hopping is by ferry.
- Book early for July and August. Milos, Naxos and Syros have small airports with limited seats, and those capacity limits push fares up in peak season.
