Paros to Folegandros takes you from one of the busiest ferry hubs in the Cyclades to one of its most dramatic small islands. Paros has it all within reach: the harbour town of Parikia, the fishing port of Naoussa, long sandy beaches and boats in every direction. Folegandros is the opposite. It is small and steep, its Chora is strung along the edge of a cliff, and most of the coastline is reached on foot or by boat.
Travellers usually take this crossing to add a quiet stop to a busier trip. A common plan is a few days on Paros and Naxos, then a hop south-west to Folegandros for walking, swimming and long evenings in Chora, before continuing to Santorini or Milos. The reverse works too, as a way to finish a Folegandros stay somewhere with an airport and plenty of connections.
This is not a shuttle route. Our data names two companies, Blue Star Ferries on conventional ships and Seajets on high-speed boats, but it does not give dated departure times, and Ferryhopper had no dedicated page for this pair when we checked. Our data for the opposite direction names Blue Star Ferries and Fast Ferries instead, which is a reminder that the companies and days can shift from season to season.
So treat the figures on this page as a starting point: a shortest crossing of about 2 hours, fares from €20, and more sailing days in the April to October season than in winter. Search your exact date before you book rooms on Folegandros, and if there is no direct boat that day, look at the routes via Santorini, Naxos or Ios.
