🏛️ History
1. Episkopi
Sikinos's most important monument: a remarkably preserved Roman-era mausoleum (roughly 3rd century AD) that was converted into the church of Zoodochos Pigi in Byzantine times. Set in splendid isolation, it's a fascinating layering of pagan and Christian history.
2. The Kastro
The older of the twin villages, built as a fortified settlement around a central square with houses forming a defensive ring, classic medieval Cycladic design.

3. Chorio & Kastro
The capital is really two linked villages, Kastro and Chorio (or Chora), strung along a ridge with windmills, blue-domed churches and a scatter of tavernas. Car-free lanes and big views.
4. The Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi (Chrysopigi)
A fortified white monastery above the Kastro, once a refuge from pirates, with commanding views over the village and sea.

5. Manalis Winery
Sikinos has a winemaking tradition going back to antiquity. The Manalis Winery revived the island's vineyards and offers tastings of local varieties with a terrace view, a highlight of any visit.
6. Eat Local
Tiny family tavernas in the Chora serve goat, local cheese (kopanisti), honey and thyme-scented dishes, simple, seasonal and excellent.

7. Walk the Old Trails
Restored stone paths link the Chora to Episkopi, the monasteries and the beaches through terraced fields, the best way to experience the island.
8. Agios Georgios & Dialiskari
Quiet sandy and pebble coves on the north and south coasts, reachable by road, boat or on foot.
9. Alopronia Port
The little harbour where the ferries dock has a sheltered, sandy beach and a couple of relaxed waterfront tavernas, perfect for an easy swim and sunset.
