Paros villa questions, answered.

  • Naoussa and the Santa Maria coast hold most of the premium villa stock and the best restaurants. Aliki and the south suit families wanting shallow beaches and airport access. The Parikia hills are the practical pick for island-hoppers built around ferry times.

  • As a rough guide, modern two-to-three-bedroom pool villas usually sit well below equivalent Mykonos properties in high season, and prices drop substantially in June and September. Naoussa-area villas carry a premium over the south and west coasts.

  • July and August bring the Meltemi, a strong, dry north wind. It matters for pool comfort: villas on the sheltered south and west sides, or with walled courtyards, are calmer on windy days. The upside is that Paros always has a leeward beach somewhere.

  • Paros has the more polished villa stock and Naoussa's restaurant scene; Naxos has longer beaches, a greener interior and generally lower prices. Couples and groups who go out tend to pick Paros; families with a beach-and-taverna rhythm often prefer Naxos.

  • Fast ferries from Piraeus take around 3 to 4 hours and run frequently in season, and Paros airport has seasonal direct flights plus year-round Athens hops. Check live boats on our Athens to Paros ferry page.
