About this experience
A private bus tour is a special way of exploring Santorini both as a solo traveler and when traveling with family or friends. It offers the perfect combination of sightseeing and learning about the beautiful island from highly knowledgeable and experienced tour guides.
On this private tour , you’ll be picked up from the airport, port, or your hotel and escorted to the most popular attractions in Santorini Island by a luxury minivan or minibus. On this five-hour tour, a personal driver or local guide will accompany you.
Your guide will await you in Santorini to start your private sightseeing tour. They will discuss the whole itinerary with you and you may request a change in the schedule if needed. Typically, your guide will suggest you explore Prophet Elias Mountain first, which is the highest point of the island. There, you will learn the history and interesting facts about Prophet Elias Monastery along with enjoying scenic views of the island from the top.
Optionally, your next destination can be the Akrotiri Excavations , a well-preserved prehistoric settlement in the Aegean (entrance fees and a site-guided tour are not included). So, if you’re a history lover or just someone who admires ancient structures and monuments, you’ll get the chance to explore the place on your own, feel the imposing atmosphere, and have a great time. Not far away from there lies the beautiful Red Beach . By walking down a path for approximately 20 minutes, you will discover the impressive volcanic scenery there, and have the chance to capture numerous pictures of the landscape or yourself, which will be added to your summer albums.
This will be followed by a rather short stop at Perivolos Beach where you can simply unwind and relax on the black sand by the serene waters. The local guide will then drive you to Oia while stopping at one of the famous wineries of Santorini along the way. You can taste and savor the flavor of the local products, including Visanto wine. (Please note that for a visit to the wineries, you will need to proceed to a reservation at the winery of your choice). From there, you will be taken to the Blue Dome Church in Firostefani , which offers breathtaking views of the volcano .
Finally, you will arrive at the northern side of Oia where you can enjoy a wholesome lunch while taking in the exquisite beauty of the island. You can also shop around for some local souvenirs to gift to your loved ones back home or decorate them in your room as a keepsake. This will mark the end of your private tour. From there, you will be transferred back to your hotel, port, or airport for your departure.

This company was extremely easy to deal with and very reliable. I would trust them 100% with my next adventure. There was a miscommunication about language with our guide but she still did her best to explain everything so we could understand and make our experience memorable., Wonderful experience!
- Victoria G.16 May 2026 5.0Fantastic, informative and fun
We had an excellent day touring Santorini with Virginia. She was really knowledgeable about the history of the island and we really enjoyed hearing all about it. There were 5 cruise ships in the day we toured and Oia was extremely busy. Luckily our driver was in contact with other drivers around the island throughout the day and was able to help us avoid similarly busy sites. Virginia adapted the tour to include quieter spots and recommended places we should re-visit when it was a little quieter. We had a fabulous time throughout the day and it definitely set us up for the rest of our stay, so glad we did it as soon as we arrived.
