We were recently all over Italy and Greece on a cruise and the Catamaran trip in Santorini was our favorite thing we did! Santorini View worked with me to find us an option that would work with our limited time in port and assure we made it to our ship on time. We booked a private sunset cruise on a catamaran. We had three adults and 3 kids in our group. The communication with the provider (Spiridakos) was amazing as well. I was able to easily update them on our arrival time as we were getting into port. They have very clear instructions on how to find their office. Once aboard the catamaran we were treated like royalty. The crew of three made sure we were all comfortable and had plenty of drinks. They gave us some options of where we could stop and we agreed on a path. We stoped at a few spots for swimming and snorkeling (all gear provided) and it was amazing. Crystal clear water and lots of fish! We stopped at a great spot and anchored for lunch. The crew prepared an out of this world meal, one of the best we had on the entire trip! We finished the afternoon with a slow ride back to our port as we took in beautiful sunset views! Oh and the crew were amazing at taking photographs of us, always offering to take pictures of our group and making sure we got the best shots. Sailing around the calderas is an amazing way to get a view of Santorini! And the crew was so knowledgeable about the island and took time to explain what we were seeing as we passed different locations. I can’t say enough good things about this excursion and would 100% recommend to anyone in Santorini.
- Colleen S.5 Jul 2024 5.0Beautiful day in Santorini
We can't say enough about helpful Santorini View was when making plans for a shore excursion. They went above and beyond to make arrangements so that we could be picked up at the same port that the cruise tender dropped us off, so that our parents didn't have to wait in line for the cable cars. The excursion itself was magnificent! Spiridakos Sailing Cruises are excellent from the wonderful crew to the delicious meal prepared for us. We highly, highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions
- Are life jackets provided?
- For the safety of all passengers, during the swimming part of the cruise, we provide to everyone life jackets
- Do you offer vegan or vegetarian options?
- For catamaran cruises that include meals, you can request vegetarian/vegan options by noting your preference in the 'Notes' field on the checkout page.
- Is a catamaran cruise suitable for children?
- Yes, if your children are acquainted with the sea, they will love the catamaran ride. In addition, there is snorkeling equipment available on board. Don’t forget to take sunscreen, a hat and a light jacket with you.
- I am staying on an Airbnb. Am I entitled to pick-up service?
- Catamaran cruises offering pickup/drop-off services can collect you from anywhere in Santorini (or the nearest accessible road). Please provide your Airbnb details on the checkout page.
- I cannot swim - is it an issue?
- There are numerous things to do onboard - take delight in the catamaran ride and the amazing views of Santorini from the sea, sunbathe, and enjoy the meal the staff will prepare for you, or just relax with your drink on board!
- Is the sea in Santorini safe to swim in?
- Absolutely! Greece is one of the safest countries to swim in. You will be glad to know that sharks in the Aegean Sea ( usually from species such as dogfish) are harmless, sightings are extremely rare while attacks are unheard of! In addition, the waves are usually small, especially inside the Caldera where most boat cruises make stops for swimming. So, based on the above, if you enjoy swimming, snorkeling, or even diving... you are in the right place!
- I'm a cruise ship passenger. Where should we meet?
- Our starting ports are Vlychada and Ammoudi Bay. Since most tender boats from cruise ships arrive at the Old Port of Fira, you will first need to take the cable car up to Fira. From there, please come to our office at least one hour prior to the start of your sailing cruise. Please note that it is not possible for us to arrange pick-up directly from the Old Port of Fira for regular excursions. However, for private excursions, direct pick-up from the Old Port is possible, provided we are notified in advance. In addition, we kindly ask you to inform us of the departure time of your last tender back to the cruise ship, so that we can ensure you have enough time for your return.
- Are there toilets on the Catamarans?
- All Catamaran vessels are fitted with toilets, for the use of guests onboard.
