🌋 Caldera & Views
1. Manolas
The main village clings to the caldera rim, directly facing Oia. The views back across the water to Santorini's whitewashed cliffs are every bit as spectacular, and you'll often have them entirely to yourself.
2. The Caldera-Rim Walk
A path runs along the cliff edge from Manolas, passing churches, cave houses and viewpoints. It's the Santorini caldera experience without the selfie scrums.
⚓ Korfos & Arrival
3. Climb from Korfos
Boats dock at the little harbour of Korfos beneath the cliffs. From here you climb to Manolas either on foot up the zig-zag steps, by the old donkey path, or by the road, a memorable arrival.

The waterfront at Korfos has a handful of excellent, unpretentious fish tavernas, the perfect lunch stop on a caldera boat tour.

7. Black-Sand Coves
Thirasia's volcanic beaches, like the cove near Riva, are dark-sanded, undeveloped and gloriously empty.
8. Slow Food & Vineyards
The island still farms the same volcanic soil that makes Santorini's wines famous. Linger over local fava, tomato keftedes, cheese and wine, then watch the sunset light Santorini's cliffs gold.
