  • Santorini is faster (35–50 min) with more daily sailings in summer. Naxos works well if you are island-hopping from Paros or Naxos first.

  • Direct Piraeus–Ios ferries take 3h 30m (high-speed) to 7h (conventional). Most travellers fly to Santorini instead to save time.

  • Santorini and Naxos flights run year-round, but Ios ferry connections drop sharply November–March. Check schedules before booking.
