Amorgos beaches: deep-blue coves under the cliffs
Amorgos trades long sandy strands for dramatic, deep-water coves, the same waters where Luc Besson filmed The Big Blue. Agia Anna near the Hozoviotissa monastery is the iconic swim spot, small, rocky, and cinematic. Around Aegiali, Levrossos, Psili Ammos and Agios Pavlos offer softer sand and calmer water. Maltezi and Plakes near Katapola are reachable on foot or by taxi-boat for a quieter afternoon.
