The Nikolaos Tselementes Festival of Cycladic Gastronomy takes place in September. This is the absolute best time to visit Sifnos. Chefs from all over the Cyclades gather to cook, and the island is filled with food tastings and events.

Hiking

Sifnos has a very well-organized trail network ("Sifnos Trails"). Spring (April-May) is beautiful for hiking, but the combination of warm seas and the food festival makes September the winner.
