Iraklia is the largest of the Small Cyclades in land area but has the smallest population (under 120 permanent residents). It is devoid of sunbeds, beach bars, and banks. It is a destination for decompression.

The best time to visit Iraklia is April, May, October. These months offer ideal weather (around 25°C), warm sea temperatures and fewer crowds than peak season. May-June, September are excellent shoulder-season options.
In August, Iraklia experiences Low crowd levels during the Greek holiday season and prime Meltemi winds. Prices are at their peak (€€).
Iraklia is heavily influenced by the Meltemi winds between June and September. This keeps the island cool but can affect high-speed ferry crossings.
