Folegandros beaches: rugged coves worth the walk
Folegandros keeps its beaches wild and mostly unorganised, which is exactly why they stay uncrowded. Agali is the main sandy bay with a couple of tavernas and a boat link to the naturist cove of Agios Nikolaos, best at sunset. Katergo, a striped-pebble beach in the south, is reached by a 25-minute trail or a short boat from Karavostasis. Bring water and shade, as facilities are minimal beyond Agali.
