Amorgos is a long, mountainous island with two main ports (Katapola and Aegiali) located on opposite ends. Because driving between the two takes about 40 minutes along winding mountain roads, your choice of base will define your experience.

1. Aegiali

Best for: Families, beach lovers, and a relaxed resort feel

Aegiali is the northern port of Amorgos. It sits in a wide bay featuring the longest sandy beach on the island. It's got a slightly more developed, tourist-friendly infrastructure compared to the rest of the island.
