Are you a wine enthusiast and a fan of the simple and traditional? Then, this 4-hour Private Wine tour is the best choice for you! A small journey in the different flavors of Santorini wines, accompanied by delicious local dishes and Greek tastes that you have never tried before!
While Santorini is mostly famous for its breathtaking views, the magical sunset, and the small white-washed houses that are built on the side of the enormous Caldera cliffs, it is also home to some of the finest wines, with the wine production having started in the ancient times and which continues successfully up to the present. The rich legacy of wine cultivation has been guiding the natives through all these years, and they have created beautiful vineyards and wineries, equipped with all the necessary machinery, but also with their passion for wine-making!
During this tour, we will introduce you to two of the most beautiful and award-winning wineries, as well as a small family-owned winery, and you will have the chance to try 3 local wine varieties – Assyrtiko, Nykteri, and Vinsanto. Our touring experience starts around 10:00-11:00, after free pick-up from your hotel, and with direction to two of the best wineries on the island. Carefully organized and fully equipped, both wineries produce high-quality wines that you will be able to taste! A wine-tasting experience accompanied by useful information about the wine production, that you will surely find exciting!
Then, follows our visit to Faros Market, in Akrotiri village. Faros Market is a local farm and winery, which is run by Maria and her family, holding a great heritage that dates back many generations. The family cultivates their own organic products and has a traditional wine cellar, which you will be able to explore, along with the guidance of Maria herself and a professional English-speaking wine guide. Wander around the large oak barrels and the traditional machinery, which set the perfect environment for the cultivation of different varieties of tasteful Santorini wines.
Next, the fresh products that Maria and her family grow will be used to prepare the most delicious lunch for you! A rich selection of Greek delicacies straight from the field to your table. You will have the chance to taste a traditional Santorinian salad, tomato fritters, the local fava (Santorini PDO Product), a platter with local cheeses, and a traditional dessert with a taste beyond this world! These new traditional flavors paired with the finest Santorini wines, will be the perfect addition to your holidays on the island!
Important note: Winery visits are subject to their availability. We choose among the following wineries: Hatzidakis Winery, Estate Argyros, Gavalas winery, Boutari winery, Venetsanos winery, Avantis-Anhydrous winery, and Domaine Sigalas.

Cancellation
If you cancel at least 2 day(s) in advance of the scheduled date, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled date, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee. If you fail to appear at the designated meeting point for the tour, your booking will be considered a no-show, and the full amount will be charged.
