The hilltop village with a medieval kastro at its core, tiny squares, blue domes and most of the island's rooms. Evenings here, after the Milos day-boats leave, belong to locals, cats and whoever was wise enough to stay the night.
The little port below Chorio with a beach, a celebrated taverna or two and a few rooms above the water. Functional, friendly, and ten minutes' walk from the village up the old path.
The southern beach strip: long, sandy, shallow and backed by a scattering of studios and summer houses. The closest thing Kimolos has to a resort area, which is to say, two tavernas and tamarisk shade.
The island's postcard: dazzling white chalk sand and water so clear boats look airborne, up the rough road to the north-east. A couple of simple rooms operate in summer; for most, it's the unmissable beach day from anywhere on the island.
Kimolos excels in intimate boutique hospitality, owner-run properties with Cycladic character, personal service, and curated breakfast featuring local produce.
Traditional stone villas and restored houses with private terraces, sea views, and authentic charm. Ideal for families and groups wanting space and independence in Kimolos.

June–September. Day-trippers from Milos add daytime buzz around Psathi and Prassa, then the island exhales: evenings are profoundly peaceful even in August. Capacity is barely a dozen properties, so July–August needs 2–3 months of notice; June and September are easy and lovely.
The local boat from Pollonia on Milos crosses in 20 minutes, multiple times daily in summer; direct Piraeus ferries (5–7h) also call several times weekly on the Milos line. On the island, feet cover Chorio–Psathi; a scooter or ATV for a day reaches Prassa and the south beaches. Bring cash, facilities are basic.
Chorio for village charm and the after-dark island, Psathi for ferry-day convenience, Aliki/Bonatsa to wake up on sand. Prassa is a beach day, not a base, unless simplicity is exactly what you came for.
Prassa and Bonatsa have shallow, calm, absurdly clear water, ideal for children. The island is safe, cheap and quiet, with the Milos boat making supply runs and day adventures easy.
Kimolos offers accidental romance, the kind that comes from discovering chalk-white beaches together and dining in a square where you're the only guests.
