Embark on a unique glass-bottom boat adventure to Santorini's volcanic caldera. Explore the active volcano, soak in therapeutic hot springs, and marvel at underwater wonders through the boat's transparent floor.
Join a 6-hour or 9-hour shared tour across Santorini's caldera, where you will explore the island's stunning vistas and vibrant marine life from a unique perspective. The glass-bottom boat offers a clear view of the underwater world, allowing you to see fish and other sea creatures without getting wet. Along the way, you will also visit the island's famous Volcano , take a dip in the Hot Springs , and explore Therasia Island .
The 6-hour half-day cruise gives you flexibility in terms of departure times and locations. If you choose the transfer service, you will depart from Athinios Port at 10:00 am. Alternatively, if you opt to meet us at the Old Port , the tour starts at 10:45 am. The 9-hour full-day cruise includes a transfer service and departs from Athinios Port at 10:00 am, wrapping up the day with a breathtaking sunset in Oia !
Your adventure begins with a hike to the volcanic crater at Nea Kameni Island! You will have about 1 hour and 15 minutes to make the round trip, which takes about 20 minutes each way on a well-maintained path. The panoramic view from the top is a rewarding experience! The next destination is Palaia Kameni Island, where you will find the famous Hot Springs. The boat anchors near the small bay of Agios Nikolaos, where you can swim a short distance to reach the warm, sulfur-rich waters. These waters are typically 3 to 4 degrees Celsius warmer than the surrounding sea temperature. Enjoy a relaxing soak for about 30 minutes before you move on. The next stop is Therasia Island, where you will have about 2 hours of free time. Explore the charming island, swim at Korfos Beach, or enjoy a meal at a local tavern. Following that, the boat sails beneath the village of Oia, providing you with the opportunity to capture photographs with the iconic white houses of Oia in the background. Then, the boat returns to the Old Port for passengers who opted for this departure point, while those with transfer service continue to Athinios Port.
If you are on the 9-hour full-day cruise , your journey doesn't end there! A bus will be waiting at Athinios Port to take you to the picturesque village of Oia, where you can wander the narrow streets, shop for unique souvenirs, and watch the famous sunset . The bus will then return you to your starting point, concluding a day filled with unforgettable memories!
Comparing the 6-hour and 9-hour options, the shorter cruise includes a hike to the volcanic crater on Santorini, a swim in the hot springs of Palaia Kameni Island, and a couple of hours on Therasia Island before returning to the port. In contrast, the 9-hour full-day cruise, which departs from Athinios Port, extends the adventure by including a visit to the village of Oia. After exploring Therasia, participants on the full-day tour are taken by bus to Oia to enjoy its scenic streets and iconic sunset, making for a more comprehensive and leisurely exploration of Santorini. Both options provide rich experiences, but the full-day tour offers additional time in Oia for a complete day of discovery.
Whether you choose the half-day or the full-day option, the glass-bottom boat tour offers a truly unique way to experience the magic of Santorini!
Old Port lies below Fira, nestled at the foot of a rocky cliff.

One of the greatest attractions of Santorini whose former intense activity gave the island its current shape and morphology.

On the island of Palaia Kammeni there are hot springs known for their beneficial and therapeutic effects. The waters there contain sulfur and you can please yourself with an alternative mud bath.

We will stop in Thirasia for 2 hours, where you can eat in the picturesque small taverns near the port or visit the village Manolas

Before returning to the port, the boat will sail near the volcanic cliffs of Oia, offering stunning photo opportunities of this unique scenery.

Very good day, and well worth the price
I must be really honest. I booked several experiences with different providers. This experience was on time and did everything stated in the description. I did find however that this particular experience did lack a more personal touch. Our guide was very nice and very professional but lacked the welcoming vibe I experienced with other providers. I felt there was not enough talk about what we were seeing. With other providers there was a more in depth talk about the history of what we were seeing and more engagement with us the tourists. A few stops did seem very 'rushed" as I read in previous reviews. I chalked it up to some people having too high expectations but no, it really did feel rushed. The very last stop we were left alone to figure out where to go or what to see. If I had not been there the previous day on another tour we would have been completely lost. On one of the stops you had to stay off the boat completely, If there was a tad bit more food amenities or even sandwiches offered at the bar and allow people to stay on the boat at the stop where you had to walk a steep hill to the top I feel more money for the boat could be made. Our guide lost out on our tip as there was no communication to when she would drop off from the group. I assumed she would stay until the end. There were different car transfers that confused us. We were told to meet at a certain spot but not told a different car service would be picking us up. It did become a bit confusing but we trusted. All in all the boat ride was very nice and serene. The views were amazing. The people were kind. I would do this experience again but with a different mind set. A more relaxing, sun tanning and bring your own lunch mind set. The experience was worth the money all things considering. Thank you everyone who hosted us from the boat crew to the "guide"
Didn't feel like we had enough time to explore everything we wanted at the Volcano, it was a beautiful view. The water is too cold in April, the hot springs were tepid at best, should've booked this in the summer. Thirasia had some good food, but the reefs can't really be seen well. Perhaps due to time of year as well.
Probably the best excursion we had for our Santorini trip, something different but healthy to do in Santorini, Guide was nice and informative, the boat is cleaned and comfy, they cared about the safety of the tourists (the most important thing). Becos we came to Santorini at the end of the season (end Oct) not many people, we almost had the whole boat for ourselves!! Love it!! The swim to the hot springs is a highlight, but make sure you are strong enough to do it. The volcano was truly amazing, I love a bit of exercise and the short hiking to the volcano just perfect, very interesting to see how Santorini became an island like today, picked up some volcanic rocks to home as souvenir too! Brilliant. The visit to the Therasia island was relaxing, had a fantastic meal in one of the restaurant, the fish soup was amazing. We were lucky, weather was nice and ended the tour with a drive by of Oia for the wonderful view, loads of pictures taken, for €37pp you can't fault it, but I would imagine during peak season this boat will be packed, best to pre-book it in advance.
