Embarking from Vlychada port, in the southern part of Santorini, you will start your sailing adventure from the famous Red Beach , where you can marvel at the beautiful reddish cliffs or take a dip in the crystal-clear waters. The volcanic scenery at its glory will be revealed before your eyes in these breathtaking locations, so get your cameras ready for memorable photos! If you’re in Santorini, a catamaran cruise is a must. We took the day cruise with Santorini Star Luxury Sailing, where we had a great time on a nice boat with 14 total people including 3 fantastic crew members: Xrisa, Tzannis, and captain Natalia. For seating under the sun, our boat had two large nets in the front to sit on (2 people each at a time while sailing, more when anchored), as well as a couch-like area in the front to sit at (could hold about 6-8 ppl), and a spot up by the captain to lay down (3-4 people comfortably). There was also a large shaded spot that we could all fit. There were 2 bathrooms on board. We sailed from 10:00-15:00 on beautiful waters in the warm Mediterranean sunshine, drinking complementary chilled Santorini white wine and cold Greek beer. We stopped to swim three times, and after the last stop the crew served us an amazing dinner with shrimp, chicken, sausage, pasta, mussels, Greek salad and bread. The crew was very friendly and social, and gladly took photos for us and chatted with us. This experience was definitely worth it and if I ever come back to Santorini I would definitely do it again.

Once your booking is complete, you will receive the voucher, which includes the meeting point, time and supplier’s contact information, at your email address. You need to have it with you, in paper form or in digital form.
Cancellation
If you cancel at least 2 day(s) in advance of the scheduled date, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled date, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee. Due to unpredictable weather conditions, if the local Authorities prohibit the activity from operating, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule to a later date (subject to availability). If you fail to appear at the designated meeting point for the activity, your booking will be considered a no-show, and the full amount will be charged.
Passport or Id
Full names of the passengers (as shown on their passport or id). Passengers need to have onboard with them their passport or id or a copy of them, in case the Port Authority runs a check on the boat. A picture on their mobile will suffice.

- Is the sea in Santorini safe to swim in?
- Absolutely! Greece is one of the safest countries to swim in. You will be glad to know that sharks in the Aegean Sea ( usually from species such as dogfish) are harmless, sightings are extremely rare while attacks are unheard of! In addition, the waves are usually small, especially inside the Caldera where most boat cruises make stops for swimming. So, based on the above, if you enjoy swimming, snorkeling, or even diving... you are in the right place!
